Description

The Mechanical Assembler plays a key role in the manufacturing process by assembling, testing, and troubleshooting products and components.

You’ll be working with SLB, one of the world’s leading energy and technology corporations. SLB is expanding their operations to meet today’s energy needs, and they’re partnering with Raise to hire high volumes of contract workers that will help make affordable, clean energy a reality for everyone. 
 
SLB has recently expanded to a new location to support their manufacturing needs in Shreveport, LA. It’s your chance to join a relatively new team while advancing your skills and your career.

Position Details:

  • Location: Onsite - Shreveport, LA
  • Pay Rate: Ranges from $18.00 - $27.00/hour
    • The night shift offers a $3.00 shift differential
  • Available Shifts: Day and Night Shifts available
    • Night Shift: Monday - Thursday; 5:00 PM - 3:30 AM
    • Day Shift: Monday - Thursday; 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
  • Opportunities for overtime available 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assemble components of all products, selecting the correct tools and fixtures
  • Test assembled products. Troubleshoot and resolve problems
  • Read blueprints, understanding key dimensions and tolerances of each component and tool involved
  • Keep accurate labour records
  • Ensure a clean work area
  • Take personal responsibility for safety while adhering to relevant Risk Assessments
  • Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement

 

Minimum Job Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience working with assembly related operations or equivalent preferred
  • Must have a Driver's License
  • High School Diploma, GED, or related experience
  • Mechanical aptitude, with ability to use a variety of hand and power tools
  • Ability to read, interpret, and carry out written/oral instructions; ability to write legibly
  • Willingness to undergo a drug test and background check
